Field notes Vol. 134 documents Nathaniel Lord Britton's botanical collecting in Cuba in 1909 on a New York Botanical Garden expedition, with co-collectors Elizabeth Gertrude Knight Britton and Marshall Avery Howe. It is comprised of a list of specimen numbers 1851-2429, collected March 14-April 4, 1909 in and around the U.S. Naval Base at Guantánamo. The notebook includes dates and locations, and entries have very brief descriptive information on the plant and/or habitat. Most entries do not have the full plant name. The notebook also contains a list of plants observed but not collected on March 17, and several pages of expense accounts and miscellaneous notes
